What Made It Through

Not everything survived the storm.
Some dreams were torn.
Some relationships didn’t last.
Some pieces of who you thought you were got left in the rubble.

But something…
something made it through.

Faith that was tested.
A worship that became warfare.
A trust in God that didn’t make sense in the natural.

And that,
that’s the evidence of His keeping power.

Isaiah 43:2 says,
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Notice it doesn’t say if you pass through,
but when.
The storm was certain,
but so was His presence.

You see, the fact that you’re here is not luck.
It’s not because you were strong enough.
It’s because the Keeper of your soul never left.

The enemy didn’t want you bruised
he wanted you buried.
He didn’t just want your joy
he wanted your voice.
He didn’t just want your faith
he wanted your life.

But he couldn’t have it.
Because there was a hand on you the whole time.
Even in the nights you couldn’t feel it.
Even in the mornings you didn’t want to wake up.

And here’s the truth:
You may have lost some things
but what made it through is holy.

What made it through is stronger.
What made it through is purer.
What made it through is ready for the next chapter of glory.

So don’t mourn forever over what didn’t survive.
Lift your hands over what did.

Because the God who brought it through
will breathe on it again.
