You’re Allowed To Live Here

You’ve spent years building.
Hammering through trauma.
Plastering over grief.
Stacking bricks of healing and prayer, brick by trembling brick.

And now
you’re in the house God helped you build.

But still, something inside whispers:
“Do I really get to rest?”
“Is it safe to exhale?”
“Am I allowed to enjoy this peace?”

Yes.
You are.

Because this house wasn’t built by your strength alone.
It was ordained by God.
Not just to be a shelter
but a sanctuary.
Not just to protect you from the past
but to hold your future.

Isaiah 32:18 says,
“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.”

This is your portion.
Not anxiety.
Not hypervigilance.
Not waiting for the next wave of pain.

Rest is not a trick.
It’s a testimony.

And the God who led you through the storm
is now inviting you to sit on the porch and breathe.

You don’t have to earn every moment of peace.
You don’t have to apologize for the healing.
You don’t have to downplay the goodness because others don’t understand it.

You live here now.
In peace.
In safety.
In answered prayer.

So decorate the walls.
Fill the rooms with laughter.
Turn the worship up loud.
Let joy echo through the halls like children playing in grace.

Because this is your home now.
God built it with mercy.
He furnished it with love.
And the key was always in His hand.

You’re not a guest anymore.
You’re family.
And this
this is what it feels like to belong.
