Built On The Rock

There comes a point when you realize
you can’t fake stability.
Not with patched-up walls,
not with surface-level smiles,
not with temporary peace that crumbles the moment life hits hard.

You don’t need another quick fix.
You need a foundation.

And not just any foundation.
You need the Rock.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:24–25,
“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock… the rain came, the streams rose, the winds blew and beat against that house—yet it did not fall.”

That’s the kind of house you’re building now.
Not one that avoids storms
but one that stands through them.

Because you know what it’s like to build on things that couldn’t hold you.
You know what it’s like to trust people who dropped you.
To lean on success that didn’t satisfy.
To rest on moments that didn’t last.

But when Jesus becomes your foundation
everything changes.

He doesn’t shift with emotions.
He doesn’t crumble under pressure.
He doesn’t disappear when things get hard.

He holds.
He covers.
He sustains.

And when He’s your base,
you can rebuild again and again, stronger.

You can raise children in peace even if you were raised in chaos.
You can love fully even if you were loved conditionally.
You can walk boldly even if you started broken.

Because the Rock doesn’t just stabilize you
He shapes the entire house.

He lays the lines.
He carries the weight.
He makes sure nothing that’s meant to last
ever falls apart again.

So if you’re tired of building alone, stop.
Let Him be the floor beneath your feet.
Let His Word be the blueprint.
Let His love be the anchor.

Because when the winds come
and they will come
you’ll still be standing.
Not because of what you built,
but because of Who you built on.
