You fought to get here.
Through battles no one saw.
Through heartbreak that nearly crushed you.
Through years where your only song was survival.
And now
you’re standing in answered prayers.
The grief has lifted.
The doors are open.
The burden is lighter.
But here’s the danger few talk about:
comfort can make you forget the One who carried you.
Deuteronomy 8:10–14 warns,
“When you have eaten and are satisfied… be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God…”
In the famine, you clung to Him.
But in the feast, will you still fall at His feet?
When the storm raged, you needed His voice.
But now that skies are clear, will you still seek His whisper?
Because peace isn’t the absence of pursuit.
It’s the place where deeper intimacy is possible.
Don’t confuse stillness with distance.
Don’t let rest make you reckless.
Don’t let the blessing become your new idol.
Let it become your new altar.
Keep showing up for Him like you did when you were desperate.
Keep singing like the chains just fell.
Keep weeping at His feet like He’s still your only hope
because He is.
Joy is not a sign to slow your hunger
it’s a sign to dig deeper wells.
The same God who met you in the valley
now wants to walk with you on the hill.
The same God who held your brokenness
now wants to dance in your restoration.
Don’t lose Him in the blessing.
Because He is the blessing.
And staying near to Him
is how you keep the oil fresh,
the fire burning,
and your soul anchored in every season.
