Moments can ignite you.
But only altars sustain you.
Because the fire of God was never meant to be a flash of inspiration—
It was meant to be a continuous offering.
In Leviticus 6:13, God commands,
“The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.”
That wasn’t a suggestion.
It was an instruction.
Because a life that burns for Him
requires intentional tending.
We don’t wait on someone else to stir the flame.
We build the altar ourselves.
Brick by brick.
Surrender by surrender.
Yes by yes.
Not just once a week.
Not just when we feel spiritual.
But daily.
Because intimacy is not built in emergencies.
It’s built in consistency.
So we return.
Every morning.
Every night.
We bring our hearts,
our repentance,
our devotion,
and we lay them down again.
Because the altar is where fire falls.
But the fire won’t remain
if the offering stops.
And here’s the secret—
It doesn’t take perfection to build an altar.
It just takes presence.
A willingness to show up again.
Even tired.
Even empty.
Even quiet.
God isn’t looking for your performance—
He’s drawn to your proximity.
Because when your life becomes an altar,
your home becomes a sanctuary.
Your car becomes a holy place.
Your breath becomes incense.
Your routine becomes revival.
And your fire won’t be determined by who’s preaching—
but by how you’re postured.
So today, build again.
Light it again.
Lay yourself down again.
Not for the spotlight.
Not for the feeling.
But for the One who still meets us at the flame.
Because when the fire on your altar never goes out—
neither does the presence of God.
