Peace Be With You

Luke 24:38 says, Jesus appears to His disciples after His resurrection, saying, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?”

Luke 24 recounts the events that took place on the day of Jesus’ resurrection. The disciples were filled with fear, confusion, and doubt as they grappled with the incredible news of Jesus’ victory over death.

In this particular verse, Jesus appears to His disciples, who were overcome with mixed emotions of joy, astonishment, and uncertainty. His words address their troubled hearts and doubts, offering them peace and assurance.

Life often presents us with various troubles, challenges, and uncertainties. We face trials, disappointments, and unexpected circumstances that can trouble our hearts and shake our faith.

In the face of trials, doubts can arise within us. We may question God’s plan, His presence in our lives, or the validity of our faith. These doubts can weaken our trust and hinder our spiritual growth.

Jesus’ appearance to His disciples was not merely to offer reassurance but to grant them His peace. His words, “Peace be with you,” were a divine invitation to find comfort and serenity in His presence.

By acknowledging their doubts, Jesus sought to help the disciples overcome their troubled hearts. His resurrection demonstrated His power over sin and death, providing a solid foundation for their faith.

Like the disciples, we can find peace by embracing the reality of Christ’s resurrection. His victory over death assures us that He is alive, and His presence brings peace into our troubled hearts.

We find peace by placing our trust in the promises of Christ. His words and teachings offer guidance, comfort, and hope. By anchoring our faith in Him, we can overcome doubts and troubles.

To experience His peace fully, we must actively seek His presence.

May His peace reign in our lives, enabling us to overcome our troubles and doubts. May we always find solace in the risen Savior.
