Returning To Jesus

Have you ever felt lost, disconnected from God, or overwhelmed by the trials and tribulations of life?

Have you ever drifted away from Jesus, strayed from his teachings, or succumbed to the temptations of the world?

If so, know that you are not alone.

Many of us have experienced such moments of doubt and despair.

But the good news is that we can always come back to Jesus, no matter how far we have wandered or how much we have sinned.

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells the parable of the prodigal son, who squandered his inheritance on wild living and ended up in poverty and shame.

But when he came to his senses and decided to return to his father, he was welcomed with open arms and celebrated with joy.

Likewise, when we come back to Jesus, He receives us with love, forgives our sins, and restores us to the family of God.

So how do we come back to Jesus?

The first step is to repent, which means to turn away from our sins and toward God.

We must acknowledge our wrongdoings, confess them to God, and ask for His mercy and forgiveness. This requires humility, honesty, and an open heart. We must let go of our burdens, our fears, and our doubts, and trust in the mercy and grace of God.

The second step is to renew our commitment to follow Jesus.

We must seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, who will lead us into all truth and empower us to live a holy and joyful life.

The third step is to bear fruit, which means to live a life of love, compassion, and service.

We must use our gifts and talents to glorify God, to bless others, and to build up the kingdom of God.

We must love our neighbors as ourselves, forgive those who wrong us, and seek justice and mercy for the oppressed.

We must also share the good news of Jesus with others, who may be lost, hurting, or searching for meaning and purpose.

Today is a beautiful day to return to Jesus, with a humble and open heart. Let’s renew our commitment to follow Him, and be willing to bear fruit. Let us live as children of God, who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit.
