Fear Not- Jesus Is With Us

Our Lord Jesus Christ, speaks to us with comforting words: “Do not be afraid.”

Fear often creeps into our hearts, paralyzing us and hindering our faith. But fear not, Jesus is here to guide us and remind us of His constant presence.

In Matthew 28:18, Jesus declares, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”

These words echo through time, assuring us that Jesus holds complete authority over every situation, circumstance, and even our fears. When we surrender our lives to Him, we become heirs to His kingdom, filled with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

In Mark 4:35-41, we witness Jesus calming a furious storm that threatened to engulf the disciples’ boat. Jesus slept peacefully, displaying His unwavering trust in His Father’s protection. When the disciples woke Him, Jesus rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Instantly, the storm ceased, revealing His authority over the forces of nature. This miracle teaches us that Jesus not only has the power to calm external storms but also the storms raging within our hearts.

Psalm 23 beautifully illustrates the tender care of our Good Shepherd. It reminds us that even in the darkest valleys of life, we need not fear any evil, for Jesus is with us. His rod and staff, symbols of His protection and guidance, provide us with comfort and assurance.

The resurrection of Jesus is the ultimate testimony to His victory over fear and death. In John 11, Jesus boldly declares to Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” Jesus conquered the grave, demonstrating His authority over death and offering us eternal life through faith in Him. With this promise, we can face any fear, knowing that death has no permanent hold on us.

Jesus, our loving Savior, calls us to cast our fears upon Him, for He cares for us deeply. Through His words, miracles, and His triumph over death, Jesus assures us that He is with us always. We must not allow fear to paralyze our faith, but rather, we should trust in His power, find solace in His presence, and walk fearlessly in the path He has set before us.
