The Narrow Way
Annie Stewart Lambert is a Christian writer, author, and ministry leader walking the narrow way with faith and obedience to Jesus Christ.
Annie is the creator of The Narrow Way and the author of The Fig Tree Series, a multi-book work about a hard-lived faith. Her writing speaks directly to those who love Jesus yet carry wounds, questions, and stories shaped by suffering. She believes the Gospel is not fragile, that truth does not threaten God, and that Jesus meets people right in the middle of it all.
Her work centers on themes of trauma, survival, forgiveness, obedience, and restoration. Annie is known for her writing, making the Bible accessible without softening its truth, and for addressing suffering without rushing redemption. She writes for those walking the narrow way, where faith costs something, but freedom is real.
In addition to her adult writing, Annie is the author of multiple Christian children’s books focused on kindness, compassion, and living out the Golden Rule. Her first Christian children’s book debuted as the #1 new release in the Children’s Jesus Books category on Amazon and is now available through major retailers, including Barnes & Noble. Through both adult and children’s work, her heart is to point readers of all ages back to Jesus and the power of His love.
Annie’s writing and ministry reach readers across more than 150 countries, a reach she attributes fully to God’s faithfulness and grace. She is also living out a long-term calling to visit every church in her city of Lynchburg, Virginia, often called the “city of churches.” Through worship, historical reflection, and testimony, she documents these visits as a way of honoring the Body of Christ and bearing witness to the beauty and diversity of God’s Church.
Annie has been recognized for her community impact and service, including receiving the Best Civic Leader Award in her city for three years in a row (2024, 2025, 2026). She also holds a diploma in mental health coaching, a path she pursued after years of walking her own healing journey and being entrusted with the stories of many others. This training strengthens her ability to listen with wisdom and compassion, while always pointing people back to Christ as the ultimate source of healing.
At the heart of Annie’s life and work is obedience to Jesus. She believes God can redeem what was meant to destroy, that speaking out is an act of faith, and that survival itself can still be beautiful. Her ministry is not about having all the answers, it is about staying faithful and continuing to walk forward with Christ.
Annie continues to write, serve, and follow where God leads, trusting that every step on the narrow way matters and that no story placed in His hands is ever wasted.
