Bold Steps

Joshua stood at the edge of the Jordan, the water rushing before him, the Promised Land waiting just beyond. He had heard the promise, but hearing is one thing, stepping into it is another. God spoke and said, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

When fear is broken, boldness rises. This is not boldness rooted in self-confidence, but in God-confidence. It’s not about what you can carry, but about Who carries you. The call of God will always bring you to the edge of what feels impossible, not so you can shrink back, but so you can step forward with a courage that comes from His Spirit.

Stepping into new assignments requires clarity of vision. Keep your eyes fixed on the One who called you, because distraction will always try to cloud your focus. It requires consistency, faith that keeps walking forward, day after day, prayer after prayer, even when progress feels slow. And it requires conviction, a deep obedience that will not bend when challenges rise or when opposition tries to block your way.

Boldness doesn’t mean the obstacles vanish. It means you face them with a different spirit, the spirit Caleb carried when he said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” Boldness is worship in motion, faith on its feet, trust that takes form in action.

So walk forward. Step into the land. Speak with authority, build with confidence, and lead with humility. Because your courage is not just for you. Your yes will ripple into lives you may never see, into generations that will rise because you dared to move. And when you step into new ground, hell trembles, heaven rejoices, and the world sees a living testimony that fear has been broken and faith is alive.
