Faith In The Fog

The promise was clear.
The word was real.
The calling undeniable.

But now
you’re somewhere between the upper room and the rushing wind.
Between the wilderness and the Promised Land.
Between “it is spoken” and “it is done.”

And in that in-between,
the enemy starts whispering:
“Maybe you missed it.”
“Maybe He changed His mind.”
“Maybe you’re not ready.”

But hear this:
Faithfulness isn’t proven on the mountaintop.
It’s forged in the fog.

Because anyone can praise when the miracle’s visible.
But worship in the hallway?
That’s holy.

David was anointed king as a boy
but went back to tending sheep.
Joseph had a dream
but woke up in a prison.
The disciples watched Jesus ascend
and then sat in a room for days, waiting for a wind they couldn’t predict.

And yet
they stayed.
They showed up.
They waited with expectant obedience.

That’s what the in-between is for.

It’s not a punishment.
It’s preparation.

It’s where God anchors your identity
so the promise doesn’t crush you when it comes.
It’s where He strengthens your voice
so you can carry what’s next with clarity and power.

Galatians 6:9 says,
“Let us not grow weary in doing good,
for in due season we will reap,
if we do not give up.”

Don’t give up.
Not in the silence.
Not in the slowness.
Not when it feels like nothing is moving.

Because while you’re waiting,
He’s working.
While you’re pacing,
He’s positioning.
While you’re wondering,
He’s weaving every detail together
for your good
and His glory.

So plant your feet in the fog.
Lift your hands in the hallway.
Worship in the in-between.

Because faithfulness here
will open the door there.
