Living Light Again

Grief taught you how to carry weight.
How to smile with a storm in your chest.
How to show up with grace
while dragging invisible chains behind you.

And maybe no one saw the heaviness
but heaven did.
And Jesus never asked you to carry it forever.

Because while grief has its place,
it is not your permanent address.

Matthew 11:28–30 says,
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest… For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

You were never meant to wear loss as identity.
You were never meant to carry sorrow as a second skin.
Jesus doesn’t just patch you up
He sets you free.

And now, He’s inviting you to live light again.
To laugh with your whole face.
To run without waiting for the next blow.
To stop apologizing for your joy.
To breathe without holding your chest.

You haven’t forgotten what you lost.
But you’ve remembered Who you still have.
And in Him,
there is life.
And in that life,
there is light.
And in that light,
there is freedom.

You’re not betraying the past by living freely.
You’re honoring it by refusing to stay buried with it.

So shake off the grave clothes.
Loosen your grip on yesterday.
And open your hands for new joy.

Because in Christ,
you don’t just survive loss
you rise from it.

Lighter.
Freer.
Fuller.
And finally, alive again.
