There Is Still Beauty In This

If you looked at my story from the outside,
You might see the broken pieces.
The cracks. The silence. The shame.
The chapters I never wanted to live, let alone speak out loud.

But if you look closer,
You’ll also see fingerprints.
God’s fingerprints.
Right there in the wreckage.

Because I’ve come to believe something deep down in my soul:
There’s still beauty in this.

Not because the pain was beautiful.
Not because the betrayal was okay.
Not because the hurt made sense.
But because Jesus stepped into the middle of it and refused to leave me there.

He didn’t wait until the mess was cleaned up.
He didn’t wait until I figured it all out.
He came close and began doing what only He can do—redeem.

Isaiah 61:3 says He gives us
“a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”

He doesn’t ignore the ashes, He trades them.
He takes what was burned down and plants something new.

I used to look at my life and only see the damage.
But now, with Jesus, I see the depth.

I see how He took the brokenness and made it a testimony.
How He turned my silence into a song.
How He used every scar to teach me how to heal others.
How what the enemy meant to destroy me has now become my greatest weapon in the Kingdom.

That’s what Jesus does.
He doesn’t erase our past, He redeems it.
He doesn’t pretend the pain wasn’t real… He promises it won’t be wasted.

And now, I no longer hide the cracks.
Because that’s where His light shines through.

He’s still creating beauty from my brokenness.
Not in spite of my pain, but through it.
Every tear has watered the ground of the woman I’m becoming.
Every ache has softened me into someone more like Him.
And every moment I thought was the end, turned out to be the middle of a redemption story.

If you feel broken today, hear me:
You are not beyond repair.
You are not too far gone.
You are not too messed up to be used.

You are the perfect canvas for a miracle.

Jesus is still writing your story.
And when He’s the Author, brokenness is never the end.
It’s just the beginning of beauty.
