God is love.
God’s love surpasses all understanding.
The Apostle John beautifully expresses God’s love in 1 John 4:8, where he declares, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” These three simple words hold profound meaning. Love is not just an attribute of God; it defines His very essence.
His love existed before the foundation of the world and will continue to endure for eternity. It is a love that is unconditional, selfless, and inexhaustible.
John 3:16 reminds us, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God’s love for us is not just words or sentiments; it is tangible, sacrificial, and life-transforming.
The cross stands as a constant reminder of the depths of His love, where Jesus willingly laid down His life for us, the undeserving.
God’s love is also not based on our merits or worthiness. Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Before we even knew Him, God loved us. His love is not conditional or dependent on our actions; rather, it is a divine gift extended to every person.
This overwhelming love is freely offered to all who would receive it, regardless of their past or present circumstances.
No matter where we find ourselves in life, we can be assured of God’s unwavering love. Romans 8:38-39 proclaims, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God’s love is not subject to change or fluctuations; it remains constant in every season of life.
The love of God is a love that we cannot comprehend fully, but we can experience and embrace it. God’s love is not a distant concept; it is personal and intimate. It is a love that pursues us relentlessly, forgives our sins, and offers us eternal life through Jesus Christ.
God loves us so much and always will.
