Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
These words spoken by Moses to the Israelites hold timeless wisdom and encouragement for us today. Let us dive into this passage and discover how we can apply its truths to our lives.
In Deuteronomy 31, Moses, nearing the end of his life, was preparing to hand over leadership to Joshua, who would lead the Israelites into the Promised Land.
God commanded Moses to encourage Joshua and the people, reminding them of His faithfulness and the promise of His abiding presence.
As humans, fear is a natural emotion that can hinder our progress, paralyze our faith, and prevent us from stepping into God’s plans for our lives.
In the face of fear, God calls us to be strong and courageous. Why?
Because He is with us! Our strength does not come from our own abilities, but from the unchanging nature of our God.
He promises to be by our side every step of the way, providing guidance, comfort, and protection.
The promise of God’s presence is not temporary or conditional. He assures us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Even in the darkest valleys or the fiercest storms of life, we can find solace in the fact that God is right there with us, holding our hand and leading us forward.
The knowledge of God’s presence should fill us with courage and empower us to face any challenge that comes our way.
We can find strength in knowing that the Creator of the universe stands beside us, ready to strengthen us, provide for us, and guide us through every situation.
Just as the Israelites were called to trust in God’s promises, we too are called to embrace His Word and believe in His faithfulness.
Meditate on His promises and let them sink deep into your heart. Trust that God’s promises are true, and He will fulfill them in His perfect timing.
Being strong and courageous doesn’t mean we won’t face challenges or difficulties. It means that despite our circumstances, we choose to trust in God and step out in faith. Let us move forward, relying on His strength and walking in obedience, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill His promises.
May we find strength, courage, and unwavering faith as we embrace the truth that God is by our side, now and always.
