The Narrow Way

Imagine a traveler facing a treacherous path through rugged mountains. The trail is difficult, filled with dangerous cliffs, steep slopes, and harsh weather. The traveler feels overwhelmed and unsure of how to move forward. However, they are not alone—a guide who has walked this exact path before is with them. The guide understands every obstacle, having faced the same challenges and dangers. Because of the guide’s experience, they are able to lead the traveler safely through the path, offering help and guidance at every turn.

In the same way, Hebrews 2:18 teaches that Jesus is able to help us because He Himself suffered and was tempted. Like the guide who knows the difficult path, Jesus has experienced our struggles and temptations, and because of that, He is able to offer us help and comfort when we face trials.

Lesson from the Analogy
