Have you ever felt like you’re fighting a losing battle?
Have you ever faced situations in life that seem too big for you to handle, too overwhelming for you to bear?
If you have, you are not alone. We all have faced those moments in our lives. But the good news is that we have God who fights for us.
In the book of Exodus, we read about the Israelites who were enslaved in Egypt. They cried out to God for help, and God heard their cry. He raised up Moses to lead them out of slavery and into the promised land. God fought for them every step of the way.
God’s faithfulness to His people did not end with the Israelites. In the book of Joshua, we see how God fought for the Israelites as they conquered the land of Canaan. God gave them victory over their enemies and helped them to take possession of the land He had promised to them.
But God’s love and faithfulness continues in the most beautiful way.
God fought for us by sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus took the punishment that we deserved, so that we could be reconciled to God and have eternal life with Him. Through the death and resurrection, Jesus defeated sin and death, and won!
What does it mean for us today to know that God fights for us?
It means that we can trust Him in every situation. It means we can have confidence in His power and His love for us. We can take comfort in knowing that no matter what we face in life, God is with us, and He will always be with us.
In Romans 8:31, we read, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
When we put our faith in God, we have nothing to fear, because we know that He is on our side. He will fight for us, and He will give us the victory.
